The Festival revolves around the Medicine Circle Dance Grounds, where First Nations performers from around the world share their arts, story telling, culture, dance and theatre. Plus Frontier Days Rodeo and the only National Indigenous Rodeo Championships, in Australia. This APRA affiliated event is one of the richest on the Rodeo circuit, and attracts Australia's top Rodeo talent to the Gulf. On opening night, First Nations cultural performers from around the world take to the stage, for dance and theatrical performance in the Kabarrijbi Wangkijbi Spectacular - The Coming Together of Nations. And then there's the music, headlined by Australian music royalty. Troy Cassar-Daley, Kasey Chambers, Jon Stevens, Yothu Yindi and Shane Howard have previously performed at the Festival, together with local and international Indigenous musicians.
